Pitt Police Promote Four Officers
The University of Pittsburgh Police Department continues to strengthen its ranks and announced four promotions, which took effect on April 3.
Brooke Riley and Michael Mock were promoted to lieutenants, and Jessica Urban and Scott Dubrosky were promoted to sergeants.

Dan is the regional lieutenant at Johnstown’s campus. He has been with the department since December 2007. Dan is a solid, consistent performer for the department. He is reliable, knowledgeable and dedicated to meeting our core values and mission.

Commander Ellies appointed as Chair of the American Society of Industrial Security Pittsburgh Chapter, achieves Protection Professional Certification
The American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) Pittsburgh chapter has named Commander Shawn Ellies as the Chair of the local chapter, leading over 200 members. Additionally, Cmdr. Ellies is a ASIS Certified Protection Professional®, completing a comprehensive certification program recognized as the gold standard for security management professionals worldwide.

Faculty and Staff Crisis Training
This course teaches University employees life-saving options during an active killer event based on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's theory of "Run-Hide-Fight."
Training must be arranged with the permission of department directors, deans or chairpersons.
Class size is limited and restricted only to those employees who are registered in advance through their department.
